第 1 天判退,第 9 天才傳到客戶手上
Nobody hid the defect. The paperwork simply took eight days, and by then the weld had already been repaired and coated.
沒有人隱瞞缺陷,只是文書流程走了八天。等客戶知道時,那道焊道早就補焊、塗裝完了。

The inspection that rejected the weld took place on day 1. The client, on the other side of the world, found out on day 9.
Nothing was hidden. The fabricator did not cover anything up and the inspector did the job properly: defect photographed, nonconformity issued, spreadsheet prepared that evening, weekly report submitted. Eight of those nine days were pure paper workflow. By the time the client was aware of the issue, the joint had already been repaired and coated.
Why eight days matters more than it sounds
A client who hears about a rejected weld on day 1 still has choices. They can ask to witness the repair, check the repair procedure, or request additional NDT before the joint is coated. A client who hears on day 9 has none of those options left. The decision has effectively been made for them.
That is why an ITP has hold and witness points. But a hold point only protects the client if the information reaches them before the work moves on. A reporting chain built on evening spreadsheets and weekly reports quietly turns every finding into a history lesson.
The delay is rarely anyone's fault. It is built into the workflow: photos on one phone, notes on paper, the NCR in a Word template, the summary in Excel, and a report that goes out weekly because compiling it takes a full day.
Six things that close the gap
This is the gap ProQ is designed to close.

八天的延遲,影響比想像中大
第 1 天就知道焊道被判退的客戶,還有選擇:可以要求到場見證補焊、確認補焊程序,或是在塗裝前加做非破壞檢測。第 9 天才知道的客戶,這些選項全都沒了,等於決定已經替客戶做完。
這正是 ITP 要設停留點與見證點的原因。但停留點要保護得了客戶,前提是資訊得在工作往下走之前送到客戶手上。靠晚上整理試算表、每週交一次報告的流程,會悄悄把每一個發現都變成事後回顧。
這種延遲很少是誰的錯,而是流程本身就長這樣:照片在一支手機裡、筆記寫在紙上、不符合報告套 Word 範本、彙整用 Excel,而報告一週才交一次,是因為光彙整就要花掉一整天。
補上這個缺口的六件事
